Support Groups

Join us on the first and third Wednesday of every month from 10:30am - 12:00pm. Group is held at 333 S. Allison Pkwy, Suite 302 in Lakewood (just west of Wadsworth off Alameda).

This support group might be helpful to you if you are:

*feeling depressed or anxious;
*wondering why your pregnancy was not as enjoyable as you thought it would be
*wondering why you are not feeling "in love" with your baby or with being a mother
*having trouble sleeping even when the baby sleeps or wanting to sleep all day

*experiencing obsessive or intrusive, disturbing thoughts

*feeling hopeless
*afraid your baby would be better off without you
*not feeling joy in your life or feeling flat most of the time

*scared to take the baby out of the house for fear of what might happen

*wishing you had more support for yourself

Mothering Without a Map Support Group

This is an eight-week theraputic group based on the book Mothering Without a Map by Kathryn Black. Each week, we will discuss individual issues related to assigned readings from the book including topics such as:

*Identifying attachment patterns passed down from mother to daughter
*The grandmother/mother/baby triangle
*Telling our stories, telling our mother's stories
*Resiliency and letting go
*The support we get to mother
*Where I am, where my children are and where we are going
